Interested in Volunteering at West Palm Hospital?
The Volunteer Services Department at West Palm Hospital is always looking for motivated individuals who have a desire to give of themselves and give back something to their community hospital. You are invited to join a group of selfless, dedicated individuals who share a common bond of providing others with a caring environment. Our volunteers are valuable resources to our staff, physicians, patients, community and all our customers.
As volunteers of West Palm Hospital, the mission is to commit your time and talents in service to our patients, staff and guests with the highest regard for the mission and values set forth by our hospital.
There are many benefits to being a volunteer. First and foremost is the overwhelming feeling of giving back to your community. In addition, you will receive a complimentary meal while on duty, a special recognition luncheon during National Volunteer Week, and special invitations to festive parties and educational seminars!
We warmly extend an invitation to you to share your heart, talents, interest and compassion.
Prospective volunteers are required to complete an application, participate in an interview, attend a scheduled orientation, comply with Tuberculosis screening by having a PPD skin test (which is free of charge), pass a security/background screening and commit to one four hour shift per week.
New volunteers starting after November 1st must submit proof of having a flu shot. Flu shots are required November 1st through March 31st.
Orientations are scheduled once a month. Upon review of your Volunteer Application, you will be called for an interview and an orientation date and time. Orientation is an opportunity for new volunteers to meet fellow volunteers, learn about the hospital and specific hospital and Volunteer Department policies and procedures.
